DigiKnow Partner Pledge
Our aim is for Stockport to be a 100% digital borough where no one is left behind or faces inequalities as a result of their digital situation. We will work together to overcome the digital divide by promoting digital skills and affordable access to the internet, so the people of Stockport can become confident, independent users of digital devices and the internet and benefit from the digital world.
We are always looking for more partners to grow the DigiKnow network and reach more people across the borough, and any individual, business, organisation or group wanting to help tackle digital exclusion in Stockport can join us.
I/We pledge to:
- Signpost people who need digital skills support to DigiKnow partners who can help them
- Agree to complete the DigiKnow Friends training session
- Keep Stockport Council and the DigiKnow network informed of any digital activities and events provided/involved with
- Attend quarterly meet-ups to keep in touch with other DigiKnow partners and help the network make the right decisions
Optional – I/We pledge to:
- Undertake Digital Champions training
- Provide volunteers who will support local community groups across Stockport
- Donate devices to develop opportunities and increase access
- Register as a user with Match My Project, a meeting point for the Stockport business and community sector

- Our purpose for collecting your contact details is so we can add you to the DigiKnow network of partners which you have indicated is of interest to you.
- We use your name and email address to send you our DigiKnow partner updates.
- You can unsubscribe from those emails at any time. Please email digital@stockport.gov.uk.

- You name and your organisation’s name.
- Background on organisation.
- Website and social media accounts for your organisation.
- Your motivation to join DigiKnow.
What is the legal basis for using your information?
The lawful basis we rely on for processing your contact details and interest preferences is your consent under article 6(1)(a) of the UK GDPR. This can be withdrawn at any time, please email the Data Protection Officer at dpa.officer@stockport.gov.uk

- We will share your information internally with digital inclusion colleagues and with other DigiKnow network partners.
- Your organisation’s logo will be published on our DigiKnow partner’s web page with a link to your website.
